Job Title: Accountant – Freight Forwarding & Logistics

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accountant with strong expertise in freight forwarding finances. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in inward and outward freight remittances, State Bank requirements, and banking regulations related to logistics and international trade.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee accounting operations related to freight forwarding activities
• Handle inward and outward freight remittances in compliance with applicable regulations
• Ensure full compliance with State Bank regulations, foreign exchange rules, and banking requirements
• Coordinate with banks on trade-related transactions, remittances, and documentation
• Maintain accurate financial records, reconciliations, and reports
• Support audits and ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory standards
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations for shipments and logistics activities

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Minimum Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Proven experience in freight forwarding or logistics accounting
• Strong knowledge of banking regulations, foreign exchange controls, and State Bank compliance
• Hands-on experience with freight remittance processes (inward & outward)
• High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
• Strong communication and coordination skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in shipping, logistics, or NVOCC environments
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
