Job Description: Factory Accountant

Specializing in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Budgeting, and Ledger/Journal Management

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our factory team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial transactions of the factory, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), budgeting, and maintaining accurate ledger and journal records. This role is critical to ensuring the factory's financial integrity and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

· Accounts Receivable (AR): Process customer invoices, track incoming payments, follow up on outstanding receivables, and reconcile AR accounts to ensure timely and accurate collections.

· Accounts Payable (AP): Manage vendor invoices, process payments, verify purchase orders, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate AP records to support uninterrupted factory operations.

· Budgeting: Assist in preparing annual and monthly budgets, monitor actual expenditures against budgeted figures, analyze variances, and provide regular financial reports to management.

· Ledger and Journal Recording: Record daily financial transactions in the general ledger and journals, ensure entries are accurate and comply with accounting standards, and support month-end and year-end closing processes.

· Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial statements, summaries, and ad hoc reports as required.

· Compliance: Ensure all accounting practices adhere to company policies and relevant regulatory requirements.

· Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to support operational and financial goals.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

· 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or factory environment.

· Strong knowledge of AR, AP, budgeting, and ledger/journal recording.

· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).

· Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions

This position is based in a factory setting and may require occasional overtime during month-end and year-end closing periods. The accountant will report directly to the Factory Finance Manager.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 per month
