Accountant Head (Jewellery)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations of the jewellery showroom and head office.
• Manage sales, purchase, and stock accounting in coordination with the showroom team.
• Supervise billing, cash handling, and reconciliation of showroom transactions.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for management.
• Ensure proper maintenance of ledger accounts, vouchers, and entries.
• Manage GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance including return filing.
• Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
• Coordinate with auditors for year-end finalization and audit requirements.
• Monitor and control inventory valuation, gold purchase/sales records, and customer advances.
• Support management in budgeting, cost control, and financial planning.

Key Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Tally ERP / Zoho Books / Accounting Software
• Experience in Jewellery or Gold Loan sector is mandatory
• Knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and Financial Reporting
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• Proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis tools

Qualifications:

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a jewellery showroom or gold loan firm
• Knowledge of inventory and metal accounting preferred
