Accountant (Hindi Speaking)

Job Summary

The Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the brokerage firm. This role requires a professional with demonstrable experience in Dubai, strong knowledge of UAE taxation (specifically VAT and Corporate Tax), proficiency in TALLY accounting software, and a solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles within a real estate environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Reporting:

  • Manage all accounting transactions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Process and manage brokerage commissions, ensuring accurate calculation, payment, and documentation for agents and external parties.
  • Prepare and process journal entries, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Trial Balance, P&L, Balance Sheet) in compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
  • Maintain fixed asset register and compute depreciation.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Taxation & Compliance:

  • Possess a strong working knowledge and practical experience with Value Added Tax (VAT) in the UAE, specifically its application and implications within the real estate brokerage sector (e.g., input tax recovery, tax invoicing, zero-rated/exempt supplies).
  • Assist in the preparation and accurate submission of periodic VAT returns to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA).
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the impending UAE Corporate Tax (CT) regime, understanding its implications for a real estate brokerage firm, and assisting in the preparation for compliance.

Software & System Management:

  • Must be proficient and have hands-on working experience with TALLY accounting software for day-to-day data entry, ledger management, and report generation.
  • Maintain organized and systematic financial records, both physical and digital.

Other Duties:

  • Assist with external and internal audits.
  • Provide support to the management team by offering insights into financial performance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strong internal financial controls and policies.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience in Dubai is mandatory. Experience in the real estate or brokerage sector is highly preferred.
  • Software Proficiency: Mandatory proven proficiency and experience with TALLY accounting software.
  • Tax Knowledge: Strong practical knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax laws and a foundational Accounting Principles: Solid understanding and practical application of strong accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
