About the Role:
We’re looking for a dependable, organized, and accurate Accountant I to join our team. In this role, you will demonstrate your expertise in a variety of accounting practices, including accounts payable, reconciling the general ledger, and conducting audits. If you enjoy staying organized and being part of a supportive environment, we’d love to meet you!
What You’ll Be Doing:
Clerical Tasks:
- Filing, copying and scanning documents
- Keeping files and records up to date
- Preparing correspondence, reports, and forms
- Verifying and processing documents
- Performing data entry with accuracy
- Greet customers
Accountant I Duties:
- Interact with customers on the phone and by email
- Process accounts payable invoices for approval and payment
- Generate billing statements and reports
- Process monthly perm storage invoices and billing
- Review and reconcile the general ledger accounts
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations and renewals
- Weekly bank deposits and daily credit card payments processed
- Cash entries verified and entered into Movers Suite and Great Plains
- Tracking and filing of all fleet vehicle registration renewals
- Process all claims and coordinate communications with customers
- Daily cash report updated and reconciled
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist in keeping the office clean, organized, and well-functioning
- Pitching in with other team members or departments as needed
- Helping with miscellaneous projects or tasks as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- 2 years of experience in an accounting role
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong work ethics and attendance
- Friendly, helpful, and professional communication style
- Experience using Microsoft Office
- A team player who’s always willing to help out
