Accountant-International Brokerage & FPI Settlements

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant with strong experience in financial operations within an international brokerage environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in accounting for FPI trades enviornment, trade settlements, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting. Experience working with J Soham software in the UAE is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations for brokerage activities, including trade accounting, settlements, and reconciliations.
• Handle accounting for FPI trading transactions.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations for client accounts, custodians, banks, and brokers.
• Prepare MIS reports, P&L statements, ledger updates, and financial summaries.
• Maintain accurate books in compliance with UAE accounting standards
• Monitor positions, margins, and trade settlements for FPI clients.
• Coordinate with auditors, custodians, clearing members, and internal teams.
• Ensure correct usage and maintenance of J Soham software or other specific software for accounting, reporting, and trade data management.
• Support regulatory filings and compliance documentation where required.
• Assist with process improvements, automation, and strengthening internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1-2+ years of accounting experience FPI/ financial services setup.
• Strong understanding of FPI trading processes in India, settlement cycles, corporate actions, and reporting.
• Mandatory or highly preferred: Experience working with J Soham in the UAE.
• Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of financial reporting tools is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and documentation skills.
• Ability to handle time-bound tasks, manage pressure, and maintain accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
