Accountant (Istanbul)

Yandex is seeking an experienced accountant to manage accounting operations and ensure financial compliance in our Istanbul office. You will handle daily accounting tasks, maintain accurate records, and support internal and external reporting.

Tasks that await you

Accounting operations

You will maintain accounting processes, enter banking transactions into the LOGO system, prepare sales invoice data in Excel for upload, and record credit card expenses and insurance payments in the accounting system.

Invoicing and control

You will issue sales invoices on behalf of the company, verify that income records match existing invoices (P&L and VAT accounts), check invoice compliance with legal and tax regulations, and apply correct tax rates (VAT, VAT2, Withholding).

Receivables and payables

You will track and reconcile accounts receivable, monitor payables, and ensure all account balances are accurate and up to date.

Reporting and compliance

You will assist in preparing declarations and support regular financial reporting to ensure compliance with local standards.

We expect that you

• Have a degree in economics, business administration, finance, or a related field
• Possess at least three years of experience in a similar position
• Are fluent in Turkic languages and English
• Are proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting programs (LOGO)
• Have strong knowledge of commercial and financial accounting principles and local financial regulations
• Demonstrate analytical thinking, organization, and a sense of responsibility

• Knowledge of Russian
