Accountant – Jewellery Industry Experience Preferred

Dargan Diamonds is a growing fine jewellery brand in Dubai specialising in diamond and gold jewellery. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant with jewellery accounting experience who can also manage AML / Compliance responsibilities for the business.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance

• Manage daily bookkeeping, journal entries, reconciliations, and accounts management
• Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, and management reports
• Handle receivables, payables, supplier payments, and cash flow tracking
• Reconcile POS, website, Shopify, and bank transactions
• Prepare VAT workings and support filings
• Monitor gross margins, expenses, and profitability
• Manage payroll and staff expense records

Jewellery Inventory Control

• Maintain accurate gold, diamond, and jewellery stock records
• Perform stock reconciliations and valuation checks
• Monitor stock movement, memo stock, and shrinkage controls

AML / Compliance Responsibilities

• Handle AML compliance requirements for jewellery business operations
• Conduct KYC / customer due diligence for applicable transactions
• Maintain transaction monitoring records
• Prepare and maintain compliance files and internal registers
• Coordinate required reporting submissions and deadlines
• Ensure internal AML policies are followed and updated
• Liaise with management regarding suspicious or reportable activity where required

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years accounting experience
• Prior jewellery industry experience strongly preferred
• Previous AML / Compliance experience in UAE preferred
• Knowledge of jewellery stock systems, margins, making charges, gold movement
• Strong Excel and accounting software skills (Tally)
• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations
• Organised, trustworthy, confidential, and proactive
• Hindi speaking is an advantage but not a deal breaker

Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
