Junior Accountant

Zahr Freighters is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. This role is ideal for an aspiring accounting professional who is eager to develop their career while supporting financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with day-to-day accounting activities in a dynamic freight and logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in recording daily financial transactions and maintaining accounting records.
• Process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and expense claims.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Reconcile bank statements and verify financial transactions.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and account reconciliations.
• Maintain organized financial documentation and filing systems.
• Support VAT-related documentation and compliance activities.
• Assist with internal and external audit preparations.
• Coordinate with various departments to collect and verify financial information.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience; fresh graduates with strong accounting knowledge may also apply.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting software is an advantage.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
