Accountant (Jewellery Industry Experience Required)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant with a strong background in the jewellery industry. The ideal candidate must be familiar with jewellery-related accounting processes, stock management, taxation, and daily financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting tasks including entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Handle gold and diamond stock accounting, barcode/sku accuracy, and inventory reconciliation.
• Monitor daily sales, purchase records, and ensure proper documentation.
• Prepare VAT/taxation reports and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Track payables, receivables, and coordinate with suppliers and stores.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing.
• Prepare financial statements and support audits.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure proper accounting of jewellery movement between stores and sections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, with mandatory experience in a jewellery company.
• Strong understanding of jewellery stock handling, costing, and inventory control.
• Proficiency in accounting systems (ERP/Tally/QuickBooks).
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills
