Accountant-Real Estate Experience

Job Title: Accountant – Real Estate

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accountant with a strong background in real estate accounting to manage financial reporting, property accounting, and tax compliance for our real estate portfolio. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with rental properties, property management accounting, and real estate tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle accounting for residential and/or commercial real estate properties

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and property-level accounts

Track rental income, CAM charges, property expenses, and escrow accounts

Record and manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Prepare and review tax filings related to real estate (property tax, sales tax, partnership returns, etc.)

Support 1031 exchanges and capital transactions

Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and property managers

Ensure compliance with GAAP and local/state regulations

Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

With at least 2 years in real estate

Strong knowledge of real estate accounting principles and tax regulations

Experience with property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, MRI)

Advanced proficiency in Excel

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

CPA designation

Experience with multi-entity or multi-property portfolios

Knowledge of cost segregation and 1031 exchanges

Experience with residential, commercial, or mixed-use properties

Experience in real estate development or construction accounting

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
