Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, a solid understanding of GAAP, and experience with various accounting software. This role involves managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial statements and supporting the organization’s financial health. Candidates with expertise in corporate, governmental, or non-profit accounting are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements
- Perform account reconciliations including bank, general ledger, and subsidiary accounts
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently using software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Conduct month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and accruals
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls and other internal policies
- Support regulatory reporting requirements and audit preparations
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions using double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Reconcile balance sheets and perform cash flow analysis to monitor financial health
- Mentor junior staff or interns, fostering a collaborative team environment
- Assist all departments and inputting data as required
Experience
- Proven experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or governmental accounting roles
- Familiarity with accounting standards such as GAAP and securities law compliance
- Hands-on experience with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, Xero, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of technical accounting concepts such as journal entries, debits & credits, accrual accounting, and account reconciliation
- Knowledge of financial report writing and interpretation for management review
- Experience with tax preparation or tax-related software is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data accurately and efficiently using Microsoft Excel or other analytical tools
- Prior mentoring or leadership experience is desirable for supporting team development

Pay: Rs120,000.00 - Rs180,000.00 per month
