Accountant (Tally ERP / Tally Prime Expert)

Job Responsibilities:

• Complete day-to-day accounting operations using Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime.
• Recording purchases, sales, payments, receipts, bank reconciliation, and journal entries.
• Generating and maintaining statutory reports, ledgers, trial balance, profit & loss, and balance sheet in Tally.
• Inventory management – stock maintenance, godown-wise tracking, batch/lot management, reorder levels.
• Payroll processing (salary, PF, ESI, professional tax) using Tally.
• Handling multi-currency transactions, cost centers, and budget controls (if applicable).
• Data backup, Tally audit, synchronization (in case of multi-branch), and error rectification.
• Preparing MIS reports and coordinating with auditors.
• Ensuring 100% data accuracy and timely month/year closing in Tally.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Commerce (B.Com / M.Com) or related field.
• Mandatory: 2+ years of hands-on experience on Tally ERP 9 or Tally Prime (latest version preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of VAT, TDS, TCS, and e-invoicing in Tally.
• Expertise in advanced Tally features such as:
• Customization of invoices & vouchers
• Tally data import/export (Excel, XML)
• Bank reconciliation automation
• Inventory & godown management
• Payroll & statutory compliance
• Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas).
• Good communication skills and ability to work with deadlines.
• Certification in Tally (optional but preferred).

Preferred (Additional Advantage):

• Knowledge of Zoho Books.
• Experience in manufacturing/trading/retail industry.
• Tally customization using TDL (Tally Definition Language) will be a big plus.
