Accountant (UAE experience)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring the accuracy of financial records and supporting business decisions with valuable financial insights.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of general ledger accounts.
• Post journal entries and maintain all accounting records.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist in the preparation of internal and external audit reports.
• Perform balance sheet and income statement reconciliations.
• Support monthly and year-end closing activities.
• Assist in tax return preparation (VAT, sales tax, etc.).
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting.
• Provide financial insights to support business functions.
• Collaborate with other departments (AP, AR, Payroll) to resolve accounting issues.

Requirement：

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
• Minimum 2-3 years of UAE experience as Accountant preferably in RETAIL
• Strong Microsoft Excel and reconciliation skills.
• Ability to communicate financial information in a clear, concise manner.
