About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Navi Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have UK accounting exposure with strong knowledge of VAT, Xero, and QuickBooks, and hold or be pursuing a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA or CA (semi-qualified or qualified).

This role offers the opportunity to work in the FMCG sector, handling end-to-end bookkeeping and compliance while gaining exposure to international accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile daily financial transactions in Xero and QuickBooks.
• Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and expenses.
• Assist in preparing and filing UK VAT returns in line with HMRC compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable and receivable records.
• Assist with P&L reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Provide support during internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for budgeting and forecasting support.

Required Qualifications

• ACCA / CA (semi-qualified or qualified) – mandatory.
• 0.6 – 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably with UK accounting exposure.
• Hands-on experience with Xero (mandatory) and QuickBooks.
• Knowledge of UK VAT compliance and reporting.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial analysis).
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in FMCG accounting or reporting.
• Additional certification in Xero or QuickBooks.
• Familiarity with other UK compliance areas (e.g., Payroll, CIS).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
