Job Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Gurgaon, India

Reports To: US Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an Accountant to join our Global Shared Services team in India. This position will focus on recurring accounting processes that support U.S. retail and global operations. By owning these processes, the role will help free up our North America–based team to focus on higher-value initiatives.

This position reports directly to the Global Accounting Manager (based in North America).

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Balance sheet account reconciliations, including Received Not Vouchered (RNV), Cash (via Kyriba), Stripe (payment processing), Return to Vendor (RTV), and other assigned accounts.
• Month end Journal entries, Provision calculations, Prepaid accountings
• Manage order clearing process, ensuring timely clearing of retail and wholesale transactions.
• Support Master Data Management (MDM) updates and maintenance.
• Collaborate with North America–based team members to ensure month-end and quarter-end close deadlines are met
• Provide audit-ready documentation for reconciliations and journals.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and provide transactional support as requested

Skills and Qualifications:

Must Have:

• B. Com, CA Inter, CMA Inter
• 6 + years of experience
• Proven understanding of Account reconciliations and Journal entries
• Strong Excel skills (e.g. Pivot tables, XLOOKUPS)
• Ability to manage recurring deadlines with high accuracy.
• Clear and proactive communication with global teams
• Bring great energy and have a great sense of fun!

Good to have:

• Familiar with U.S. GAAP
• Experience with ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle or Similar).
• Exposure of Retail or manufacturing accounting experience
• Exposure of Audit support and internal controls
• Sustainability accounting knowledge a plus
