Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) are highly preferred.

Experience

  • 2–4 years of accounting experience; experience in educational institutions is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP).
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Prepare, review, and maintain accurate general ledger entries.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, vendor accounts, and student fee accounts.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Process vendor invoices, purchase orders, and staff reimbursements.
  • Track receivables such as tuition fees, grants, and sponsorships.
  • Ensure timely payments while maintaining adherence to financial policies.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Support the preparation of annual budgets for various departments.
  • Monitor expenditures and highlight variances from approved budgets.
  • Assist departments with financial data and budget-related queries.

Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure transactions comply with university policies and UAE financial regulations.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing required reports and documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of financial data.

Other Responsibilities

  • Support payroll processing when required.
  • Participate in process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.
  • Perform additional finance tasks assigned by management.

Other Duties

  • Undertake additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned by management.
