Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) are highly preferred.
Experience

2–4 years of accounting experience; experience in educational institutions is an advantage.

Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP).

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
-
Prepare, review, and maintain accurate general ledger entries.
-
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
-
Reconcile bank accounts, vendor accounts, and student fee accounts.
-
Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
-
Process vendor invoices, purchase orders, and staff reimbursements.
-
Track receivables such as tuition fees, grants, and sponsorships.
-
Ensure timely payments while maintaining adherence to financial policies.
Budgeting & Forecasting
-
Support the preparation of annual budgets for various departments.
-
Monitor expenditures and highlight variances from approved budgets.
-
Assist departments with financial data and budget-related queries.
Compliance & Audit
-
Ensure transactions comply with university policies and UAE financial regulations.
-
Assist in internal and external audits by providing required reports and documentation.
-
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of financial data.
Other Responsibilities

Support payroll processing when required.

Participate in process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.

Perform additional finance tasks assigned by management.
