Accountant/Bookkeeper

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining meticulous records.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and assist with internal and external audits.
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms to record transactions and generate reports.
• Conduct payroll management tasks using systems like ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or UltiPro, including payroll processing and tax compliance.
• Support governmental and non-profit accounting functions by adhering to specific reporting requirements and regulations.
• Assist with budget preparation, financial analysis, and account analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Requirements

• Proven experience in corporate accounting or governmental accounting environments with a strong understanding of financial concepts.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Singlepoint
• Knowledge of GAAP standards and SOX compliance procedures for internal controls.
• Familiarity with payroll management systems like ADP or Paychex along with payroll processing experience.
• Strong data entry skills including double entry bookkeeping, 10 key typing, and account reconciliation techniques.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation accurately.
• Ability to handle sensitive financial data with integrity while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines.
• Effective communication skills combined with a solid foundation in financial software tools such as UltiPro, Kronos, or Ceridian for seamless operations.
