The Cashier is responsible for managing daily cash and banking transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the finance team in ensuring smooth financial operations within the development company. This role requires attention to detail, integrity, and strong organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and record payments from clients, tenants, or project stakeholders (cash, cheques, or online transfers).
  • Issue receipts and maintain accurate daily cash collection reports.
  • Deposit cash and cheques into designated company bank accounts as instructed.
  • Support the preparation of petty cash reimbursements and maintain the petty cash register.
  • Assist the finance team with data entry of receipts, vouchers, and other financial documents.
  • Reconcile daily cash balances and report discrepancies immediately to the Accountant.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of all financial transactions.
  • Coordinate with the finance department for periodic audits and reporting.
  • Handle basic administrative and clerical duties related to financial operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience as a cashier preferred in real estate development industry.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and basic accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or ERP systems).
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of honesty, responsibility, and confidentiality in handling cash and company data.
