Accountant/Fiscal Analyst - 60018341

Job Responsibilities

Serve as an Accountant/Fiscal Analyst in the Division of Procurement Service (SFAA-DPS) Business Operation Area. Responsible for collecting and verifying all contract usage reports submitted to the Division of Procurement services for all relevant statewide term contract administration fees. Perform accounts payable which include reviewing and verifying the account information of IDT's travel and other related documents.

Duties

  • Under general supervision, assist with collections and recording of administrative fees on all statewide term contracts issued by the Division of Procurement Services to ensure timely and accurate reporting and collection. Reported contract usage and fees will be entered into database for future analysis and reporting.
  • Audit vendor contract usage reporting template to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and work with procurement managers to enforce compliance.
  • Serve as the SFAA-Division of Procurement Services P-Card holder. Complete monthly reconciliations in Works utilizing the reconciliations program.
  • Ensure proper coding and allocation of accounts payable documents to include interdepartmental transfers, employee travel claims, direct pay invoices and purchase orders.
  • Research and resolve any invoice discrepancies or vendor issues. Ensure invoices are received and loaded into SCEIS within five days of receipt.
  • Ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and process time sensitive material in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers in a clear, concise, and respectful manner.
  • Create and run reports using SCEIS, Business Warehouse and internal ERP Software. Perform other related duties as needed.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A high school diploma and professional experience in related areas such as accounting, auditing, finance, or banking. A bachelor's degree with multiple accounting courses may be substituted for the required work experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of the principles, practices, theories, and terminology of accounting, auditing, banking, budgeting and financial management. Knowledge of state government fiscal and accounting processes. Knowledge of office practices and procedures. Knowledge of financial statement analysis. Ability to proficiently apply mathematical concepts. Ability to interpret and analyze financial data, records, and reporting. Ability to supervise subordinates. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
