Accountant/Office Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant/Office Manager to join our team and drive operational excellence. Duties

  • Manage all aspects of corporate accounting, including ledger maintenance, journal entries, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining accurate records using accounting software.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, interpret financial statements, and provide insights for strategic decision-making through financial analysis and cash flow analysis.
  • Handle payroll processing and related tax experience to ensure accurate employee compensation management.
  • Maintain office operations by managing supplies, coordinating meetings, supervising administrative staff, and supporting executive leadership with scheduling and correspondence.
  • Support internal audits and external audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring adherence to auditing standards.
  • Implement efficient bookkeeping practices using software like PeopleSoft or Xero to streamline financial workflows.

Experience

  • Proven experience in corporate accounting with a strong understanding of GAAP and technical accounting standards.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial report writing, interpretation of financial statements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software; proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation processes, and general ledger management.
  • Experience managing accounts payable/receivable processes along with payroll administration.
  • Ability to analyze financial data critically for budgeting, forecasting, and financial management purposes.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to mentor team members effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
