HIH Accounting Operations Advisor
Position Summary
Evernorth seeks a results-oriented Accounting Operations Advisor for our Global Capability Center (GCC) in Hyderabad. This role is critical for executing accurate, timely, and compliant analysis to support internal management reporting as well as statutory analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong US GAAP expertise, ability to analyze key drivers of variances, along with developing projections based on changes in the business. Summary of Key Responsibilities

Process Execution & Documentation: Develop, document, and maintain management reporting processes to ensure accuracy in drivers of changes to projection and actual periods of expenses.

Collaboration: Foster open communication and teamwork across global locations and functions across accounting and finance.

Audit Coordination: Support internal and external audits by providing timely and accurate responses to requests.

Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve issues, escalating to management when needed.

Change Management & Continuous Improvement: Embrace change, support process enhancements, and stay updated on accounting practices and technologies.

Accounting Support: Participate in management close process, reviewing explanations of changes in drivers, and ensuring appropriate accounting treatment in the management reporting process.

Process Excellence: Drive improvements and leverage automation and technology where possible.

Own the design and execution of well-controlled processes, focusing on both preventative and detective controls.

Qualifications

Qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent degree in Finance & Accounting Field.

11 -13 years of progressive experience in financial accounting or management reporting.

Solid understanding of US GAAP reporting (required).

General knowledge of US NAIC statutory reporting (preferred, not required)
-
Experience in insurance or healthcare accounting (preferred, not required).

Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite) and reporting tools (Hyperion, Oracle EPM) (required).

Familiarity with Tableau, PowerBi, SQL, Alteryx, Python/R, and Workiva (preferred).
-
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Demonstrated ability to operationalize change and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
