Palmer Square is currently seeking candidates for an Accounting Analyst position. This position offers a unique opportunity to not only work with a growing firm, but also a collaborative finance and accounting team. 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analysis of financial transactions for proper accounting treatment to understand where adjustments are needed
• Preparation of monthly expense allocations based on firm expense methodology utilizing the firm’s allocation system
• Manage daily communication between various external accounting teams such as third-party administrators, auditors, and consultants
• Reconcile administrator calculations of management and incentive fees in accordance with fund offerings
• Preparation of work papers, schedules, and reconciliations in support of financial statements for fund audits
• Prepares budgets and analysis of expenses for numerous funds
• Facilitate and reconcile payments of various fund financial statement line items
• Support creation and delivery of key operational and financial performance metrics for management oversight and board reporting
• Execute and document assigned Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) controls
• Performs other related duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Works well independently and with minimal guidance
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Adaptable to changing needs in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• High attention to detail and the ability to effectively problem solve

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• A minimum of two years of experience in public or financial accounting
• CPA designation is preferred
