This position will work under the Controller and Senior Accounting Analyst for Gifts to assist in management of the reporting and assurance related to donations and endowments.
Key Job Responsibilities
Prepare and post daily and monthly entries to the ledger.
Review general ledger postings for accuracy and completeness.
Review endowment and designated funds in terms of purpose and reporting.
Review gifts recorded for accuracy and completeness.
Review pledges recorded for accuracy and completeness.
Assist in recording endowment distribution.
Prepare schedules for the annual audit.
Prepare miscellaneous reports or reconciliations as needed.
Assist with internal audits as needed.
Maintain confidentiality of all information.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting plus five years of related office experience is required, or a combination of education and experience sufficient to demonstrate the ability to perform the job.
Other Skills
Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong working knowledge and experience with enterprise software programs or accounting tax/software. In addition working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Possess the ability to handle a wide variety of assignments simultaneously and prioritize properly.
Honesty, integrity, discretion, sound judgment, and prudence are a requirement.
Remain accessible and available at the College in time and presence to ensure the proper function of the department.
Maintain an acceptable attendance record, be punctual, and meet deadlines.
