CMC Dry Ice Manufacturing is seeking an Accounting Analyst for a family-owned manufacturing company in the Concord/North Charlotte area. We are looking for someone who is excited about building and growing something special. This demanding position requires a positive and self-motivated professional who has superior organizational skills, the ability to work within deadlines, and the ability to execute. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to analyze and report on financial performance of dry ice production. The candidate will be a team player who is also able to work independently, is extremely comfortable multi-tasking, and possesses an acute attention to detail. We value strong organizational and interpersonal skills, initiative, flexibility, poise, and a willingness to learn and accept increasing levels of responsibility. Must be willing to work nights and weekends at certain times of the month. Bilingual is required to translate and document in Spanish. No remote work environment offered.
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE –
- Manage day-to-day accounts receivable activities within QuickBooks and Resolve AR, including invoicing, customer account reconciliation, and monthly statements.
- Oversee day-to-day accounts receivable functions.
- Reconcile invoices with Purchase Orders and Packing Slips.
- Research and assist with resolving vendor invoices and/or payment discrepancies.
- Keep strong relationships with customers and vendors to maintain smooth financial operations.
INVENTORY and BUDGETING–
- Prepare and review monthly production statements for management.
- Collaborate with external CPA to catalog fixed assets, new vehicles, and equipment, and manage loans, notes, and payables.
- Preparing and submitting sales tax and accounting documents, including all monthly, quarterly, and annual sales taxes to NC Department of Revenue.
- Analyze financial data to provide insights into cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and overall business performance of manufacturing production.
HUMAN RESOURCES –
- Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, including issuing applications, conducting background checks, and managing training for TrackAbout.
- Schedule new hire drug testing, lead blood & ZPP blood tests, spirometry, and mask fit tests.
- Process new drivers to insurance company.
- Create, maintain and update the employee SOP/Policies and manage insurance documentation for employees and subcontractors.
ADMINISTRATIVE –
- Interact with customers and vendors via phone, email, and in-person.
- Must maintain company digital records and upkeep of the filing system.
- Maintain office supplies, equipment, and inventories.
- Obtain quotes and manage annual insurance renewals, including Workers' Compensation, General Liability, Auto, Property, and Umbrella coverage.
- Perform a Worker’s Comp annual audit.
- Assist with dry ice manufacturing when needed.
- Assist with customers at the City Counter.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or business degree.
- 3 or more years of bookkeeping or related experience required.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Proficient in QuickBooks (required).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Advanced Excel).
- Proficient in TrackAbout managing production assets.
- Maintain strict confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Bilingual is required to translate and document in Spanish.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to change.
- A collaborative team player who can also work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Pay: $49,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
