Accounting and Finance Manager

As we continue to scale, we are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to strengthen our financial controls, reporting accuracy, and strategic decision-making.

Role Overview

The Finance Manager will oversee the full spectrum of financial operations — including accounting, reporting, budgeting, compliance, and internal controls — in line with IFRS and GAAP standards. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical accounting knowledge with the ability to analyze financial performance and lead a team toward operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting

Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS / GAAP.

Ensure accurate and timely closing of books and reconciliations.

Maintain integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts.

Review and approve journal entries, adjustments, and accruals.

Coordinate with auditors for external and internal audits.

Budgeting & Forecasting

Lead the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.

Analyze budget variances, identify risks/opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.

Work closely with business units to ensure financial targets align with operational performance.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

Monitor and manage company cash flow, working capital, and liquidity.

Supervise receivables, payables, and vendor payment cycles.

Forecast cash needs and optimize fund utilization.

Support banking relationships and financial instruments as needed.

Internal Controls & Compliance

Implement and maintain effective internal control systems.

Ensure compliance with company policies, IFRS/GAAP, and local tax regulations.

Drive improvements in accounting processes and ERP system integration.

Prepare documentation for compliance, tax, and regulatory filings.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

Provide management with analytical insights and financial models to support decision-making.

Track and report KPIs such as gross margin, operating margin, and return on investment.

Participate in business case evaluations for new projects or technology investments.

Team Leadership

Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting and finance staff.

Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Collaborate across departments to ensure financial alignment with strategic goals.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

Professional qualification preferred: ACCA, CA, CPA, CMA, Masters.

Experience:

7–9 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.

Proven track record of managing full sets of accounts and financial reporting under IFRS/GAAP.

Experience in tech, telecom, fintech, or AI-driven companies is a plus.

Technical Skills:

Strong command of IFRS, GAAP, and financial reporting standards.

Advanced proficiency in Excel and Quick Books

Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills.

Experience with data visualisation or BI tools is an advantage.
