Do Something That Moves you

1.Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, I/C transaction, general ledger, internal control, and taxes.

2.Lead the end-to-end annual statutory audit and compliance process in close coordination with external auditors

3.Lead and manage all tax activities in country in close coordination with tax consultants / auditors

a. Ensure full compliance with local tax regulations as well as readiness of books for tax inspection / audit. Develop and communicate clear and timely risk assessments to top management and division leads / controllers.

b. Leading the tax inspection cases from company side for all legal entities in close collaboration with external tax consultants, auditors and tax authorities.

c. Manage, reconcile, and submit monthly tax returns - on tax portal - where applicable for all types of taxes for BLE including WHT, Benefit in Kind, VAT calculation on AP and AR as well as calculation for selling fixed assets.

d. Maintain and manage adequate accounting provisions and accruals in close collaboration with auditors, tax consultants and controllers.

e. Ensure full compliance with e-invoicing law and its updates

f. Ensure full compliance with TP laws and regulations.

4.Support CFO in assessing tax risk in the introduction of new business models in Egypt

5.Managing projects as required i.e. legal entity rationalization, tax system implementation, banks system automation…etc

6.Develop and implement internal controls and perform local reviews to ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data.

7.Plan, Analyze and act on the cash flow needs to ensure sufficient funds are available.

8.Follow up on the AR dues and collections with distribution management within divisions.

9.Maintain and grow bank relationships in close alignment with Bayer treasury teams including but not limited to, accounts management, investment alternatives and credit facilities.

Your Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CMA, CPA is a plus).

• 7-10 years of professional experience in finance or accounting roles.

• Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (IFRS or local GAAP) and local tax regulations and systems.

• Experience in handling external audits, tax planning, and compliance

• Proficiency in financial software (SAP).

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Ability to work independently.
