Accounting Assistant

Duties

• Perform data entry and maintain accurate records with Sage software.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation.
• Payroll
• AIA BIlling

Requirements

• Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft or Ceridian is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and general ledger reconciliation.
• Familiarity with payroll systems like ADP or Paychex and payroll management procedures.
• Knowledge of GAAP standards and experience working within corporate or governmental accounting environments.
• Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; proficiency in 10 key typing is preferred.
• Ability to analyze accounts, perform account reconciliation, and prepare detailed financial reports.
• Strong organizational skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving; ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
