Digital Scoreboards LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Assistant to support the daily financial and administrative operations of the company. Working closely with the Accounting & Office Manager, this role assists with essential accounting tasks, recordkeeping, data entry, and vendor and customer support activities. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. This position plays a key role in maintaining smooth accounting workflows, ensuring documentation accuracy, and supporting overall office efficiency.
- Process and organize accounts payable invoices, receipts, and vendor documentation.
- Assist with accounts receivable tasks such as preparing invoices, recording payments, and updating customer accounts.
- Perform accurate financial data entry and maintain organized accounting records.
- Support bank, credit card, and vendor reconciliations as directed.
- Prepare billing materials, customer statements, and follow-up communications.
- Maintain digital and physical filing systems for accounting and administrative documents.
- Assist with benefit-related administrative tasks and required documentation.
- Monitor and restock office supplies, following established purchasing procedures.
- Coordinate incoming mail, vendor communication, and general office correspondence.
- Provide data entry, reporting, and administrative support to the Accounting & Office Manager as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy across all financial information.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in accounting support, bookkeeping, or administrative roles.
- Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Experience with QuickBooks or similar software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and supporting multiple priorities.
- Reliable and consistent availability to support daily accounting and office operations.
- Ability to work on-site at the Columbia, IL office.

This position operates in a professional office environment or approved remote setting. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets may be used. Occasional travel or extended hours may be required depending on business needs.
