Job Title: Accounting Assistant

Location: Northwest Oklahoma City, OK

Pay: $21-$26/hour (DOE)

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview:

A well-established company in NW Oklahoma City is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support daily accounting operations. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their accounting career in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, with the potential for long-term placement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger (GL) accounts
• Perform data entry with a high level of accuracy
• Review and reconcile credit card statements
• Prepare and process invoices
• Assist with month-end close activities
• Create and maintain spreadsheets and financial reports in Excel
• Support the accounting team with additional administrative and reporting tasks as needed
  

Qualifications:

• Experience with Peachtree accounting software required
• Working knowledge of GL, AP/AR, and month-end processes
• Strong data entry skills with excellent attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required)
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
