Position Summary

CMG is seeking an in-person Accounting Assistant / Accounting Clerk to support the Accounting Team. This role is responsible for handling day-to- day accounting functions. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, detail-oriented, collaborative and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with weekly supervision. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in beginning their accounting career, as you will gain exposure to many aspects of the accounting operations including finance and human resources.

This is a permanent position and could be part-time or full-time depending on candidates desired hours.

Accounting & Finance Duties

  • Prepare and send out Accounts Receivable (AR) invoices
  • Maintain and update AR worksheets for invoicing
  • Perform Accounts Payable (AP) entry and processing
  • Process ACH payments and transactions
  • Manage and reconcile expense reports
  • Monitor and reconcile company credit card transactions
  • Prepare and Upload Monthly print logs for Invoicing
  • Submit and track Subconsultant AP invoices
  • Record and process cash receipts and bank deposits
  • Code expense reports for administrative charges

Project & Contract Support

  • Assist with project setup in internal systems
  • Update and maintain contract amendments
  • Track and manage Certificates of Insurance (COIs)

Human Resources Support

  • Review Employee Timesheets
  • Prepare and Process Payroll

Qualifications & Skills

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in administrative and/or accounting support roles
  • Basic understanding of accounting principals (AR/AP processes)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); accounting software experience a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexible, collaborative and people-focused approach to day-to-day work with excellent communication skills
  • Excellent communication and self management skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Permanent Part-Time or Full-Time position depending on Candidate Desired hours
  • Office-based role with regular interaction across departments

Compensation

· The annual salary range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000

Pay: $28.84 - $33.84 per hour
