Accounting Associate

We are currently seeking a hardworking Accounting Associate to join our team and assist in bookkeeping and accounting tasks for our company. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance
• Enter accounting-related information into business logs
• Handle billing processes including accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Inspect account books for efficiency and accuracy
• Organize and update financial records
• Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Work with Accounting firm to help ensure financials are completed in a timely manner
• Prepare documentation for external auditors

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

Experience:

1 year of experience

Certifications:

Must be QuickBooks certified or become certified within 2 weeks of employment.

Other:

Microsoft Office

Google Workspace (a plus)

Asana (a plus)

QuickBooks

Must have a reliable internet connection

KEY SKILLS:

• In-depth knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Have very strong Excel skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to read and analyze financial reports.
• Strong understanding of US tax regulations.
• Ability to work independently.
