Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will support the day-to-day financial operations by managing data entry, account reconciliation, and processing transactions with precision and efficiency. Duties
- Perform data entry for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or PeopleSoft
- Reconcile accounts on the balance sheet and general ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Prepare journal entries for month-end closing processes and assist with account analysis and account reconciliation tasks
- Manage payroll processing using systems like ADP, Ceridian, UltiPro, or Paychex, ensuring timely and accurate payroll management
- Support tax-related activities by maintaining documentation and assisting with tax filings in compliance with governmental accounting standards
- Assist with budgeting processes and financial reporting by compiling data and preparing reports for review
- Maintain meticulous records of financial transactions, supporting audit readiness and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance efforts
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles within corporate or governmental settings
- Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and public accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms; familiarity with Workday, Kronos, UltiPro, ADP, Ceridian is a plus
- Knowledge of payroll management systems like Paychex or ADP along with experience in payroll processing
- Skilled in data entry with high accuracy (10 key typing) and double-entry bookkeeping techniques
- Ability to perform account reconciliation and balance sheet analysis efficiently
- Solid understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger accounting
- Excellent math skills combined with strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and departments

Pay: $23.47 - $28.27 per hour
