We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a Contract basis in Greensboro, North Carolina. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills and a strong ability to handle both accounts payable and accounts receivable responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
• Record and categorize financial transactions accurately in journals or computer systems.
• Process invoices, ensuring all data is entered correctly and payments are made promptly.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including verifying and reconciling accounts.
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure financial records are balanced and discrepancies are resolved.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain organized and accessible financial documentation.
• Review and verify business transaction details from various documents, such as sales slips and receipts.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies regarding financial information.
• Support the accounting team with general administrative tasks.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and procedures.
• Previous experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Proficiency in data entry with a high level of accuracy.
• Familiarity with invoice processing and related accounting tasks.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to reconcile accounts and identify discrepancies.
• Knowledge of accounting software and tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration and communication.
