Accounting Clerk

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk. In this vital role, you will support the organization’s financial operations by reconciling accounts and assisting with various accounting functions. Responsibilities

• Perform data entry for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks.
• Reconcile balance sheets and bank statements to ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Assist with journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliation tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
• Contribute to month-end closing activities by preparing reports and verifying account balances.
• Collaborate on budgeting and financial analysis projects to support organizational decision-making.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in corporate or governmental accounting environments with familiarity in public accounting practices preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks preferred.
• Excellent data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail; proficiency in 10 key typing is a plus.
• Ability to interpret financial statements and perform account analysis confidently.
• Basic understanding of tax regulations and non-profit accounting practices is advantageous.
• Strong math skills combined with effective communication abilities to support team collaboration and reporting needs.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
