Accounting Clerk

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Accounting Clerk specializing in automobile dealership accounting to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for processing and managing outgoing and incoming payments, ensuring accurate and timely vendor transactions, and supporting overall accounting operations. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our financial data, uphold compliance standards and contribute to the smooth functioning of our accounting processes. Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of the accounting department such as billing, titling, accounts payable and receivable and general accounting procedures
• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Assist with month-end closing activities by supporting account analysis, accruals, and audit documentation preparation.
• Support compliance initiatives by documenting processes and maintaining audit-ready records.
• Collaborate with human resources on benefits administration and payroll management tasks when necessary.

Qualifications

Automobile dealership experience strongly preferred.

Must have office experience.

• Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting.
• Familiarity with accounts payable processes, account reconciliation, and journal entries.
• Knowledge of payroll systems is a plus.
• Ability to perform detailed data entry with high accuracy using 10-key typing skills.
