Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper
We are currently looking for an experienced accounting clerk or bookkeeper to join our company on a full time basis. This is not a remote work opportunity and all work needs to be completed on-site.
The role is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory, and General Ledger functions. The candidate must possess accurate data entry skills, recent QuickBooks experience, and 3+ years accounting/bookkeeping experience.
Responsibilities:
- Review and process vendor invoices and inventory receipts
- Accurately enter vendor invoices
- Assist with vendor check runs
- Prepare and enter journal entries
- Assist with month end close
- Review product sales, costs, and margins
- Monitor and update product pricing
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Enter bank deposits
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Assist with sales reconciliation and sales tax returns
- Assist in reconciling ledgers, reports and accounting records
- Prepare monthly customer statements
- Assist Accounting Manager with all aspects of accounting
- Manage multiple duties and priorities simultaneously
Qualifications
- Associates/Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Prior accounting experience required
- Experience with QuickBooks (2+ years)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
