J. Fisher Companies is looking for a controller to oversee our residential homebuilder, Henry Walker Homes. The controller will ensure that all accounting and financial duties are performed and completed in a timely manner. This includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow, bank reconciliation, cash disbursements, payroll, financial statements, and tax returns.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Create monthly, quarterly, or yearly financial statements for each entity

· Oversee the accounts payable process

· Oversee the accounts receivable and draw process

· Reconcile accounting records to bank statements

· Use historical data and projections to create/update cash flow models

· Act as a liaison between the partners/entities and bank provider

· Create monthly draws for homes under construction

· Prepare checks, wires, and ACH payments

· Work with the tax CPA to prepare year-end tax filings for every entity

· Any other duties as assigned relating to the finances or accounting records

QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years experience in accounting

· 2+ years experience compiling and reviewing financial statement packages.

· Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures

· In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals

· Previous accounting experience in construction or homebuilding

PREFERENCES

· Prior experience with Sage Intacct Required

· Prior experience with MiTek Kova Required

· Advanced MS Excel skills

· Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
