Job Description

We are actively seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Accounting Coordinator to join our expanding team. As an Accounting Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of our operations, overseeing day-to-day financial activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the continued growth and success of B2B Realty.


Note: This is a remote position and candidates will be working in the US business hours (EST)


  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and posting bills related to property portfolios.
  • Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting to support strategic financial planning.
  • Collaborate with property managers and other departments to resolve accounting-related issues and discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the accounting software system.
  • Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation activities.
  • Provide support to the accounting team as needed, including ad-hoc financial analysis and projects.
  • Coordinate with property managers to ensure accurate recording and allocation of property expenses, including maintenance costs, utilities, and property taxes.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct regular reviews of financial processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as vendors, contractors, and financial institutions, to resolve billing discrepancies and financial inquiries.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to support business growth and operational excellence.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in property management accounting, incorporating relevant insights into day-to-day operations.
  • Serve as a mentor to junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in property management or real estate.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • CPA certification or progress towards CPA eligibility (preferred but not required).
