ACCOUNTING COORDINATOR

BLOOM365 is seeking a dedicated, part-time Accounting Coordinator. In this dual-capacity role, you will act as the primary engine for our day-to-day financial data maintenance and operational efficiency, ensuring every dollar is tracked as we work to empower Gen Z youth and prevent abuse before it starts.

- Structure: Hybrid (Remote with one required day in-office per month)
- Compensation: $28/hour (Non-negotiable due to funding restrictions)

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Management & Bookkeeping
- Transactions & Accuracy: Record daily receipts and transactions, manage income/expense records, and ensure overall financial data maintenance.
- AP/AR Coordination: Process vendor invoices and schedule payments (Accounts Payable); track incoming payments and manage billing (Accounts Receivable).
- Reconciliation: Perform bank statement reconciliations to ensure all records align with real-time balances.
- Payroll Administration: Manage payroll cycles and employee timesheets utilizing the QuickBooks Time (T-Sheets) program.
Compliance & Reporting
- Grant & Fund Tracking: Precisely track donations, grants, and match funding expenditures to ensure strict compliance with restricted vs. unrestricted funding.
- Financial Reporting: Support Program Managers by completing monthly and quarterly grant and agency financial reports.
- Audit Prep: Prepare necessary documentation for the annual 990 tax filing and organizational audits.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Executive Support: Provide general administrative assistance to the CEO to streamline organizational operations.
- Strategic Flexibility: Adjust to shifting priorities during high-growth periods and perform other administrative duties as assigned to support the mission.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
- Experience: 3+ years of experience managing "the books" and processing payroll. Non-profit experience is highly valued.
- Technical Skills: Fluency in QuickBooks Online for Non-Profits and QuickBooks Time; proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Non-Profit Acumen: Deep understanding of tracking restricted vs. unrestricted funds and non-profit bookkeeping standards.
- Core Competencies: * Exceptional data entry skills with extreme attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data clearly to non-finance staff.
- Strong multi-tasking skills and a proven ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Professional communication and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
