Accounting & Finance Specialist (Located in Liberia)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting & Finance Specialist to support daily finance and accounting operations at our Liberian mining site. The role covers cash/bank processing, AP/AR tracking, ERP postings, reconciliations, and month-end close support—ensuring accuracy, compliance, and audit-ready documentation in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

• Process and record daily cash and bank transactions ; prepare vouchers and summaries.
• Maintain AP/AR ledgers : invoice verification, due-date tracking, and vendor/customer reconciliations.
• Prepare and execute payment runs ; coordinate approvals and banking instructions (local & cross-border).
• Perform petty cash administration and periodic counts; ensure proper supporting documents.
• Post transactions to the ERP (e.g., SAP / Microsoft Dynamics / Oracle) with correct GL, cost center, and tax codes.
• Support month-end close : accruals, prepayments, reclasses, balance-sheet schedules, and trial balance checks.
• Conduct bank, supplier, intercompany, and payroll reconciliations; resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Organize and archive financial documentation (invoices, POs, GRNs, contracts) per internal control standards.
• Assist with local compliance support (basic tax packs, payroll inputs, NASSCORP/withholding listings) in coordination with advisors and the Finance Manager.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Warehouse, HR, and Operations to ensure complete and accurate financial data.
• Contribute to process improvements and basic reporting (cash position, AP aging, expense trackers).

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration .
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in accounting/finance (AP/AR, banking, reconciliations).
• Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivots, basic modeling) and working knowledge of ERP systems.
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and month-end activities.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Ability to work on a 66/18 rotation in a remote site and meet tight deadlines with high accuracy.

• Experience in mining, construction, manufacturing , or other industrial environments.
• Exposure to Power BI/Qlik/advanced Excel reporting and simple automation (Power Query, macros).
• Working knowledge of French is a plus.
