Accounting Generalist - Amangiri

Role

We invite you to join Amangiri in Utah, United States, as an Accounting Generalist. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will support daily financial operations through income auditing, cashiering, and general accounting activities. This role is integral to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Finance department.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily income audits, including preparing general ledger entries and documenting adjustments with supporting detail.
  • Investigate and respond to credit card disputes, maintaining accurate tracking records.
  • Manage and reconcile petty cash, including recording weekly activity and paid outs.
  • Complete monthly inventory counts and maintain supporting documentation in line with procedures.
  • Assist with month-end close tasks, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Support the procure-to-pay process, including use of Birchstreet.
  • Maintain financial and statistical tracking records.
  • Organise and manage documentation such as contracts, insurance certificates, and vehicle records.
  • Prepare invoices, monitor accounts receivable, and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Assist with accounts payable processes and provide support with ad hoc financial projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably within a hotel or resort environment.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn and adapt to new financial systems and software.
  • High level of organisation and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with financial reporting, auditing, or accounts payable and receivable processes is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with the role.
  • You must have the legal right to work in the United States.
