Job Description:
Cordero & Associates is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Director to join our immigration law office. This role is essential in managing the firm’s financial operations, with a strong focus on compliance, accuracy, payroll management, and trust account oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable
- Manage and maintain trust accounting in compliance with legal and ethical standards
- Process and oversee payroll using ADP
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasting
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal controls
- Supervise accounting staff and improve financial processes
- Collaborate with leadership to support strategic decision-making
Requirements (Mandatory):
- Proven experience in an accounting leadership role (Accounting Manager, Director, or similar)
- Strong, hands-on experience with QuickBooks (required)
- Experience managing trust accounts (required)
- Experience with ADP and payroll processing (required)
- Fluency in Spanish and English (required)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential financial information
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a law firm, preferably immigration law
- CPA or other accounting certification
Benefits:
- Competitive salary: $75,000 – $85,000
