The Accounting Intern will support the Accounting Team with foundational financial and administrative tasks while gaining hands-on experience in property management and client accounting. This internship is designed to build practical skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial data management within a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Key Accountabilities & Learning Responsibilities
Financial Data Entry & Accuracy
· Assist with recording financial transactions in accounting systems
· Maintain accurate and organized spreadsheets
· Support reconciliation preparation and financial tracking
Accounts Receivable Support
· Assist with invoice preparation and tracking incoming payments
· Review open A/R reports with the Accounting Manager
· Support communication related to billing inquiries
Accounts Payable Processing
· Scan, upload, and categorize vendor invoices and receipts
· Assist with check preparation and online payments
· Maintain vendor documentation and records
Administrative & Operational Support
· Maintain digital filing systems and accounting records
· Collaborate with internal teams to support workflow efficiency
Professional Development & Exposure
· Gain exposure to client accounting (HOA, property management)
· Learn systems such as QuickBooks, Buildium, or similar platforms
· Participate in team meetings and workflow discussions
· Build foundational understanding of financial reporting

WORK EXPERIENCE
Qualifications
· Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
· Basic understanding of accounting principles (coursework acceptable)
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel (basic level required)
· Strong attention to detail and organization
· Positive attitude and willingness to learn
· Communicating professionally with internal and external customers.
Ability to learn:
· Working within systems (CRM, property management, or accounting software)
· Using accounting or property management software systems
· Tools & Systems: Proficiency required or to be developed in: Buildium, Fieldpulse, Enumerate, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and safety inspection software.
This is a full-time paid internship with the opportunity for permanent employment when internship period commences.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
