Accounting Intern

The Accounting Intern will support the CTDI Corporate Accounting team with routine accounting activities and month-end close processes. This entry-level role is designed to provide hands-on experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations, while building a foundational understanding of corporate accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Corporate Accounting Support

• Assist the accounting team with day-to-day general ledger activities in a corporate environment.
• Support the preparation and review of accounting schedules and supporting documentation.
• Work closely with team members to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with company policies

Month-End Close & Reconciliation Exposure

• Assist with monthly close processes, including preparation and of journal entries and supporting balance sheet account reconciliations, including but not limited to:
  • Prepaid assets
  • Fixed assets
  • Inventory accounts

• Help investigate and document account variances under the guidance of senior accountants.
• Help organize documentation to support audits and internal reviews

Process & Team Support

• Assist in documenting accounting processes and procedures.
• Participate in identifying opportunities for efficiency and process improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Operations, and Procurement as needed

General Accounting Duties (Summarized)

• Perform additional accounting and administrative tasks as assigned, including:
  • Journal entry preparation
  • Account reconciliation support
  • General accounting analysis

Learning Opportunities

• Exposure to the month-end close cycle within a corporate accounting function.
• Practical application of accounting principles and financial statement concepts.
• Experience working with ERP systems and accounting tools.
• Understanding of internal controls and audit support activities.
• Mentorship from experienced accounting professionals

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Introductory coursework in financial accounting required; intermediate coursework preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong willingness to learn in a team-oriented, professional environment
