Overview
Join our dynamic team as an Accounting Manager, where you will take the lead in managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will play a pivotal role in guiding our financial strategy, mentoring junior staff, and driving efficiency across all accounting functions. Your expertise in Quickbooks, and regulatory reporting will be essential as you navigate the complexities of financial management. What you’ll do

  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including account reconciliation and balance sheet management
  • Conduct thorough financial report writing and interpretation to inform strategic decisions
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting initiatives to support organizational goals
  • Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment
  • Ensure compliance with Securities law and other regulatory requirements through meticulous auditing practices
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, , Sage, or Xero for accurate financial tracking
  • Perform cash flow analysis and bank reconciliation to maintain optimal liquidity

Basic qualifications

  • Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles and financial concepts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Experience with tax regulations
  • Must be proficient with quickbooks

Preferred qualifications

  • Familiarity with Financial Management principles
  • Proven track record in mentoring teams within a public accounting or governmental accounting environment
