At EvolvCFO, our Account Managers are the glue that holds the client relationship together. If the CFO is the surgeon performing high-level strategy, you are the Physician Assistant: managing the patient’s ongoing care, overseeing the technical "vitals" (the books), and ensuring every task is executed to perfection.
You take the baton the moment the sales process ends. You aren't just a liaison; you are a technically-sound accounting professional who ensures our "Financial Phases" are implemented and that the bookkeeping team stays on track.
What You’ll Do
- Own the Onboarding: Lead the kickoff process for new clients, setting the tone for a structured and professional partnership.
- Technical Oversight: Review full-cycle accounting work (A/R, A/P, Reconciliations) to ensure 100% accuracy before it reaches the CFO or the client.
- Bridge the Gap: Act as the primary point of contact for clients on tactical and technical questions. You translate client needs into tasks for the bookkeeping team.
- Project Management: Keep the "train on the tracks." You ensure recurring monthly tasks and one-off projects are completed on time, moving the client through Evolv’s financial growth phases.
- Support the CFO: Prepare and deliver the necessary financial reports and data sets so the CFO can focus on high-level advisory work.
Who You Are (Technical Requirements)
- The Accounting Expert: You have a rock-solid grasp of full-cycle accounting. You’ve been in the trenches and know what "clean books" actually look like.
- QBO Power User: You are highly proficient in QuickBooks Online and familiar with the modern accounting tech stack (e.g., Bill.com, Expensify, Gusto).
- Public Accounting/Firm Experience: You understand the pace of managing multiple clients simultaneously. You don’t get overwhelmed by shifting priorities.
- The "Manager" Mindset: You are comfortable delegating to and reviewing the work of bookkeepers, providing feedback to ensure the EvolvCFO standard is met.
Core Competencies
- Accuracy Obsessed: You catch the double-entry error or the miscategorized expense that others miss.
- Relationship Driven: You can explain a technical accounting issue to a non-financial founder in a way that builds trust, not confusion.
- Process Oriented: You love a good checklist. You thrive on ensuring that "the way we do things" is the way things actually get done.
Why EvolvCFO?
- The "Evolved" Way: We don’t just "do books"—we change the trajectory of companies.
- Autonomy: You’ll have the space to manage your client portfolio as you see fit, backed by the support of a world-class team.
- Career Path: This role is perfect for a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager looking to move into the fractional executive space.
