Hacienda Del Sol Resort is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our team in Tucson, AZ. The ideal candidate will report to the Director of Finance and help oversee all accounting operations, ensure financial accuracy, and support the financial health of our resort. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage accounting processes efficiently while collaborating with various departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, delegate, mentor, and supervise the General Cashier and Accounts Payable disciplines. This includes assessing the performance of the positions above to ensure company standards are met.
• Coordinate all on-site accounting functions with the Director of Finance and act as a liaison for internal department accounting requests
• Prepare and analyze financial reports to support business decisions
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist Director of Finance with devising policies and procedures that align with company goals and GAAP standards
• Prepare, daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries for timely financial close
• Daily reconciliation of treasury and income audit
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure proper compliance
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Review General Cashier and Accounts Payable daily work for accuracy and completeness
• Oversee and help process 1099 Filing with Accounts Payable
• Work with Director of Finance on Monthly TPT Tax Filing Preparation & Bi-Annual Property Tax Filing Preparation
• Assist Purchasing department with inventory, when required

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
