Summary of Job Responsibilities

The Accounting Manager will execute and continuously improve corporate accounting operations and support key financial reporting activities. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for someone who thrives in both doing the work and building better ways to do it. The role is fully remote, with a hybrid option for those based in the Austin metro area.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, reporting and analytics
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy across all accounts
• Manage fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules
• Support sales tax filings, annual reports and other compliance obligations
• Own expense reporting, corporate credit cards, and accounts payable; serve as the primary system administrator for related third-party software
• Support annual audits working with external auditors and tax advisors
• Prepare financial schedules and supporting analysis
• Work with internal partners on vendor management
• Identify and implement process and system improvements that increase accuracy, reduce manual intervention, reduce close timeline and enhance reporting
• Build and maintain scalable workflows as we grow

Requirements:

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in SaaS or tech environments
• Strong understanding of US GAAP; experience with business combinations a plus
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based accounting software; NetSuite preferred
• A process-improvement mindset-you don’t just do the work, you ask how it could be done better and make it happen
• Ability to thrive in a small team where you wear multiple hats and operate with autonomy
• Strong ownership, communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
• An AI adoption mindset, always looking for ways to leverage new tools to reduce manual work and improve accuracy
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
