Accounting Manager

Job Summary
The Accounting / Office Manager oversees daily financial and administrative operations within a satellite slot route office. This role is responsible for managing audit clerks and accounts payable functions, overseeing cash management activities, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The position works closely with the Count Team Manager, Purchasing Manager, Operations and Technology teams supporting multiple restaurant/tavern locations with casino gaming to ensure proper accounting procedures and compliance across all operations

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support audit clerks and accounts payable clerk, including training, scheduling, and performance management
  • Oversee daily auditing processes related to route activity, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies
  • Manage cash handling and reporting processes, including tracking, reconciliation, variance resolution, and safeguarding of funds
  • Serve as a liaison with the Operations team, ensuring alignment between operational activity and financial reporting
  • Partner with the Count Team Manager to verify cash counts, reconcile variances, and ensure accurate recording and reporting of revenue
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager to ensure proper documentation, coding, and tracking of expenses and inventory purchases
  • Manage accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and reconciliation of accounts
  • Maintain general ledger integrity through timely reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reviews
  • Prepare and review financial reports, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues promptly
  • Experience with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and company accounting standards
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed
  • Improve processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of audit or accounting management experience in casino gaming or a slot route required
  • Prior experience working with limited or no on-site supervision
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, cash management, reconciliations, and general accounting principles
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with technology including accounting software (NetSuite preferred) and all Microsoft products
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple concurrent priorities

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
